Calderwood Commitments

  • 17/05/24 – 27/05/24: iPay open for C in the Park Ticket Order. In order for us to ensure we place enough orders for resources and foods, and that none of the resources are wasted, we do have a closing date of 27th May for tickets. Tickets should be ordered through iPay for the time slot you would like to attend, access to the outdoor activities runs for the full time. You can find out more about C in the Park here.

  • 31/05/24: Dress Down Day: No football tops or crop tops please.
  • 31/05/24: Pupil Council Tour of extension – Please wear school uniform

Calderwood Communication:

  • Clan Changeover for current Primary 1- 6 clans: Please click here to find information about our transition programme.
  • Clans Values Consultation: Our clans have taken part in a challenge to consider what they feel should be our values, you can see their responses in our sways.
  • School transport: School Transport applications are now open for the new school session 2024/25. Applications should be completed for all new entitled P1 and S1 pupils and for those who are entitled who do not currently have an allocation on a school bus service. Applications should also be completed for those entitled pupils who wish to continue in S5 & S6. Those who have a change in circumstances e.g. moved home or school, we request that a new application is completed. Applications will close on Friday 7th June 2024, information on eligibility and applications are available at https://www.westlothian.gov.uk/article/78510/Applications-for-Mainstream-School-Transport.
  • School Clothing Grant and Free Schools Meals: Applications for 24/25 are now being accepted, click here for more information.
  • We are delighted to announce our Primary 1 champions for 2024/25 as below. (A gentle reminder that staffing can be subject to change):

Calderwood Consultation:

  • Beyond the Dream definition: We have taken the feedback from our clan, champion and community consultation on what our vision of Beyond the Dream means to us. Please vote for your favourite here.
  • Selecting our values: After consultation with our clans, champions and families we have created a list of the most popular 9 values. Place the values below in order of importance here.

Calderwood Construction:

  • Works look ahead:
    • Tar playground area – Complete roof cappings              – Continue with window flashing install
    • Internal fit out ongoing – Small power accessory install and lights
    • Final decoration on 1stfloor    – Stair floor finishes                       –  Wall fix furniture install ongoing.

 

Calderwood Compliments:

 

  • Rannoch Clan did a wonderful Connects all about Fairtrade. There was singing, presenting, dancing and LOTS of banana jokes. Well done Rannoch Clan everyone learned more about Fairtrade.
  • Two children from Leven were overall Primary 2 winners for Scotland for their Be An Engineer designs. We are so proud of you!
  • We raised £1768.60 from Magic Miles this year. This is a fantastic amount raised, thank you to our community. Thanks to Linwater Caravan Park who kindly donated the ice poles for the Community Walk.
