Calderwood Ski Programme – Expression of Interest
We are delighted to be exploring the launch of a Calderwood Ski Programme in partnership with Midlothian Snowsports Centre, starting in August 2026.
The programme is expected to run on Friday afternoons from 4.30pm-6pm,
21 August to 9 October (8-week block).
Depending on demand, we hope to offer either:
• 20 Beginner spaces, or
• 10 Beginner spaces and 10 Improver spaces (Levels 2–3)
• 10 Beginner spaces and 10 Improver spaces (Levels 2–3)
The final cost has not yet been confirmed by Midlothian Snowsports Centre, however we expect the price to be approximately £65 per child for the full 8-week block. Please be aware – the cost may be slightly higher.
Parents should be aware that these sessions are heavily subsidised. For comparison, a standard 4-week block booked directly through Midlothian Snowsports Centre currently costs £128 per child and is due to increase from August.
Please note:
• This is not a school-run activity.
• Parents/carers will be responsible for transporting and accompanying their child to and from the sessions.
• Children must be supervised by their parent/carer throughout the lesson.
• Places will be allocated subject to demand and availability.
