Halloween week in Ben Lomond

This week in P5, we have begun developing our understanding of time, with a particular focus on comparing and converting between 12 and 24 hour time.

We used a clock to help us visualise how the two time formats relate to one another and worked together to solve a variety of time problems. We also explored real life scenarios, such as working out whether we would make it to the cinema on time if we left at a certain time. This helped us develop our problem-solving skills and think about how we use time in everyday life.

Today, during Stag Stop, we got into the Halloween spirit by creating our own Halloween hand puppets! We showed lots of creativity when colouring, cutting and putting our spooky designs together.

While we were creating, we also played our own version of The Traitors! With the final tonight, we thought it was only right that we got into the spirit and put our own detective skills to the test! We had lots of fun trying to work out who the traitors were and used our communication, reasoning and problem-solving skills to share our ideas and make decisions as a team.

It has been a busy and fun filled week in Ben Lomond!
